General Properties

Production

Oleic acid is usually acquired from transesterification of double bound fat such as canola oil.

Applications

Oleic acid is found in many food substances as triglyceride. It is also the raw material of soap. It is used as greaser agent for products such as dye, ink and polish.

It is also used in medical fields as raw material. It is scientifically proven that it is good for cardiovascular diseases and cholesterol problems. It is also used in cancer and diabetes treatment.
